Community Activation Day at Onerahi Primary
A day of community activation where young people and their whānau can connect and get active after school will be held on Wednesday 11 March at Onerahi Primary School.
Activities on offer will include football, volleyball, cycling, and a waterslide courtesy of the Onerahi Volunteer Fire Brigade.
Onerahi Primary School, along with Whangārei Community Connect, Northland Volleyball, and Bike Northland, organize and run these community activations to give young members of the community opportunities to engage in active recreation alongside their whānau. Supported by local organisations and sports groups, the activations are designed to strengthen community connections while promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
Last year’s activations saw around 500 people take part, with fantastic parent and whānau involvement. The events created a great atmosphere and sparked real excitement among the young people who attended.
